Source packaging around the actual product
Custom packaging can change MOQ, unit cost, setup charges, production time and shipping volume. We help overseas brands organize a packaging brief, identify relevant China suppliers and compare the answers before approving samples or bulk production.
Packaging types we can research
Depending on the project, this may include custom boxes, mailer boxes, paper bags, pouches, labels, stickers, instruction cards, inserts, tissue paper, sleeves and export-carton details. Product suitability and supplier availability are confirmed case by case.
Information suppliers need for a meaningful quote
- Internal and external dimensions, product weight and required protection.
- Material, thickness, structure and preferred finish.
- Printing colors, logo files, artwork status and print position.
- Quantity by size, design or SKU.
- Insert, label, barcode and instruction requirements.
- Sample type, sample approval process and target timing.
- Destination and any known retail or marketplace requirements.
Why packaging MOQ may differ from product MOQ
A product supplier may accept a small trial order while the printed box or label supplier requires a larger run. Ask whether unused packaging can be stored, whether a digital-print option exists, and whether a stock package with a label or sleeve is a practical first-order alternative. Each option can change unit cost and presentation.
What the comparison can include
- Supplier options. Public links and relevant company information.
- MOQ and price tiers. Minimums by design, size, material and printing process.
- Setup and sample fees. Separate one-time costs from repeat-order unit prices.
- Lead times. Distinguish artwork, sampling and bulk-production stages.
- Open questions. Flag missing dimensions, protection requirements or quote exclusions.
Approve samples with written criteria
Record dimensions, material, color reference, print position, finish, fit and visible protection requirements before approving a packaging sample. Keep supplier photos and the approved artwork version with the order record, and confirm how bulk production will be checked.
Combine product and packaging questions when practical
If the packaging is part of a private-label product order, it may be more efficient to compare the product and packaging assumptions in one brief. This helps expose separate packaging MOQs, assembly responsibilities and schedule dependencies before production.
